Slightly better then (pretty darn close) a ryzen 5 5600x worse then a ryzen 5 7600.

What would be the AMD equivalent at this pricepoint?

Which one would be better for someone who does zero gaming and just multitasking office/productivity apps?

10w is OK if you're willing to settle for 1080p. Real 4k transcoding requires more if you expect to be able to have hdd space and fast enough network ports and the pcie lanes to support them.

This is the perfect CPU for bus overclocking on select motherboards with a clock generator. Look up alder lake non K overclocking.

Awesome deal. I just bought a 13400f for $160. I woulda totally done this one instead as their single core performance is almost the same.

I'm talking a home server like Unraid, not Windows, and idle power only (transcoding or other apps/dockers can boost active power a lot of course). People have their servers idling at 8 W with powerful CPUs/full motherboards. The beauty of Unraid is that the hard drives can be spun down individually when not in use. You've got to tune the other hardware to allow the CPU to enter high C states though (some add-ons can keep it too awake). A discrete GPU generally has a pretty high idle power, which wouldn't matter in a setting where it's needed all the time anyway but most home servers have a lot of idle time and those extra watts just aren't warranted.

Paid $140 for this almost 2 years ago. Great basic processor for your average gamer/general use. No complaints.

It's the same cpu with slightly higher clock speeds. True 13 gen CPUs started at the 13500, I am 99% sure on that. 13400 and below is just a mhz bump and rebrand.

Trash compared to a 7800x3D. Over $200 list price was a joke. Should have been under $150 without any deals.
