Hard to find processor back in-stock at MSRP. Nearly impossible to find this processor retail packaged at MSRP. Free shipping. F model does not include igpu. First post in quite a while so please be kind if I missed something.

Dude we thank you. Dont take SD personally. Probably someone pist off because the LGA 1700 mobo are expensive.
Thanks for the thumbs down without even a comment as to why. I dont even know why I try to help this garbage community.
I stopped a long time ago. This is a very toxic community and their moderators are somewhat questionable. I also go believe that they sold to GS….

Thanks for the info. This is $5-$10 less expensive than I've seen.

For this cpu, you can pick up a B660 mobo in the $120 - $140 range.

The hard-core AMD fanboyz get triggered whenever there is an Intel deal posted. Don't take it personally. Smilie

This is a great cpu. I bought it at Micro Center for $170 on sale, and paired with an Asus B660-Plus D4 board. Also had a $25 build coupon and $20 combo discount so the total for the cpu & mobo came to about $280 after tax.

EDIT: Just noticed this is the F sku. I have the regular 12400 with the integrated graphics

Just finished a new build with this cpu and a $139 Asus B660 motherboard and my old DDR4-3200. Unbelievable performance - 40% better benchmarks compared to my overclocked i5-9600K. 65 watts power means this cpu has never got over 48 C - even with torture testing! (the 9600K pulled 145w and 85C). My new rig is so cool and quiet it's scary - sometimes I think it's not even running :-)
The 12th-Gen Intel stuff is so good it is scary. I have been building and overclocking since a 386-25 in 1990, but this cpu is running perfectly using default BIOS settings. I had planned on an i5-12600K but you literally do not need more cpu than this one.

Wow, did you really call the entire community garbage based off the actions of a single individual? Confused

+1 Great cpu. Got a 3600 while back but if I wasn't on AMD platform, would pick this up in an instant.

Yeah....then you get to the part where the same hype reviews people watched that steered them towards the "BEST VALUE!" cpu chip in itself are now going on to trash the large majority of those cheaper B660 boards for having a lot of notable underlying issues/concerns. Where it seems the $150 budget model MSI is the only one getting universally good hands-on reviews (not to be confused with the other 95% of MB reviews out that that are simply basing their evaluations on what the website specs say).

I mean that essentially leaves you at $330 for cpu+ board. Most that are buying this to keep around a few years will probably ditch the trash intel cpu fan, and so there is maybe another $30 or so taking you up to $360 (and above what you could be spending on a 5600x lately paired with a decent b550 board. With AMD's budget line due to release in a few weeks at that).

So overall, and considering the fact this 12400f has been in stock every day at B&H and elsewhere for $5 more, for at least the last 2 or so weeks I've been keeping my daily eye out for a good sale on the 12700f.. this at MSRP really isn't all that "slick" imo.
