Well, it supposedly beats the 11700k/11900k (stock clocks) in gaming by a few percent but loses in multithreaded work.
Assuming you can Overclock your 10700k this is a side grade at best. If you're a gamer and don't have a 3070/3080 card, money is better spent there. I'm still rocking a 9700k @5.0ghz, 32gb b-die and 3080 for gaming at 3440x1440. I don't plan to upgrade cpu anytime soon...see what AMD does with their Zen refresh.
Trying to build new system now, but probably stick with lga1200 for now. Lga1700 boards are quite expensive, DDR5 is just insane
