This seems to work for many people, but it didn't for me due to computer/monitor combo. I attempted to use it with a 2019 MacBook Pro and two 4K monitors. To get my monitors to be recognized, I had to install the Targus DisplayLink manager software. If I understand correctly, running DisplayLink at that resolution requires compression, and that caused awful lag to the point of being completely unusable for me. I've requested a return to HP (it's been four business days and they haven't yet responded. They advertise up to five days before they respond.)

This should work for most people but not for two 4k monitors for that you need at least USB C v3. This is only USB C v2.

The advantage of this is it does not get hot and it provides power. It is a real dock in other words not just a hub labeled as a dock.

I bought a supposed dock for a 4k monitor and a 1440P 120hz monitor it works but it gets hot and I worry it will not last. This one will last.

I bought this during BF week replacing that Microsoft Audio dock that was listed here not too long ago. It works well with one Intel laptop that I have with a 90W requirement (which is great since the Microsoft dock only delivered 60W). However, an AMD laptop I have with 60W requirement (which worked on the previous dock) has power issues on this new one for some reason. The connected devices kept powering off and on until I plugged the brick power in. Not sure what that's about.

Either way I'm glad it's powering my 90W system okay. Works well, runs stable. Only using it with a single QHD monitor, but that's plenty of real estate for me.

What's the refresh rate for the display output? Can it do 4K 60hz with a dual monitor set up?

Edit: Found the answer to my question on the Targus website for this dock [targus.com]. First bullet point below:

FEATURES
  • Supports single and dual 4K UHD @ 60 Hz video via two DisplayPort™ 1.2a ports or HDMI 2.0 ports
  • Power Delivery 3.0 up to 100W for USB-C hosts
  • 1 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (10 Gbps) port
  • 4 USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports (1 fast charging)
  • 1 Gigabit Ethernet port
  • 1 3.5mm combo Audio In/Out port
  • Integrated lock slot accommodates standard security locks to safeguard equipment
  • 1M USB-C detachable host cable (C/M to C/M) with (C/F to A/M) tethered adapter
  • Compatible with Targus VESA® Mounting Bracket (ACX003GLZ, sold separately)
  • Limited 3-Year warranty

Seems better to buy from walmart since HP says a 15% restocking fee may apply for returns.

My wife uses a Win 10 Dell Latitude of some sort for work. She has been struggling with neck and upper back pain lately and thought looking down at a laptop display all day probably wasn't doing her neck any favors. She has 2 offices, so this deal was a perfect match. And, turns out, since she now works on external eye-level monitors, her neck pain has been gradually going away. So for us this deal was an absolute steal!

Walmart canceled my order from a few days ago. I suggest you order from HP directly. I lost out on the $20 deal.

Yes many people got cancelled by Walmart. I'd buy direct.
