Thanks for the reminder, my wife's sportsline account was about to expire. I signed up with my email that I used previously and it worked, March 2025 after threatening to cancel. I did have to login to paramount using paramountplus.com/sportsline for paramount plus to work.

If you use the online cancel button and accept the 3 month free extension you will need to call to cancel before it renews in 18 months. If you don't accept the 3 month extension you can cancel online without the phone call.

I did this last year when it was $10. I seem to recall the same discussions about 30 day trial vs full year, with or without ads etc. My Paramount+ still works after a year with no ads. I canceled last years and just signed up using a different e-mail.

By the way, after I canceled I got this in an e-mail: "We want you back! For a limited time, email [email protected] and we'll give you two free months of access to SportsLine when you reactivate your subscription! Then, you'll resume normal billing after your two free months are up. E-mail [email protected] today!"

Worked for me. I'm guessing with Showtime included it won't last a year like previous deals but I'll take the chance and hope at least Paramount+ stays for the year. Not much on Showtime anyway and hasn't been for years.

At the pay page I don't see anything about paramount + or showtime . Any ideas? Am I missing something?

Sportline renews a year after you signed on. The date is under my account Subscription. P+ will not say anything.
Well mine says 12-12-24, so hoping that sticks for P+

Just did it. Doesn't say Paramount w/ Showtime after the code is put in, but you do get it. Cancel extension was only a month for me but I'll take it.

Regarding the Paramount+ perk:

TLDR Version: There is no guarantee they haven't changed their model when you see how quickly they moved the 3-month cancellation perk down to 1 month.

I signed up a couple of years agon when they had it for 50 cents and the SAME 30-day free trial was at the forefront with the SAME disclaimers about the exclusion for promo-priced subscribers of SportsLine. Nonetheless, I got the FULL YEAR of Paramount+ plus the 6 months for threatening to cancel.

In subsequent times, the offer ALWAYS appears with the same verbiage I mentioned and many have signed up for those deals and can today claim they got the whole year. I never did, so I can't say.

While that may have been the case in the past, for those INSISTING the current offer will last a year and NOT just 30-days, PLEASE understand that it MAY HAVE changed. They used to offer 6-months for canceling and now it is is 3 months AND that has been altered to ONE MONTH.

I only write this for those that read the threads closely enought. It could BE for a whole year again, it could NOT BE for a whole year. You won't know for 31 days I guess. Your risk. People will believe YOUR assurances, but the past is rarely a guarantee for the future.

Can anyone tell me if they git the streaming benefit with Amex? I didn't see Sportsline as an option.

II see nothing that says Paramount+ is for 12 months. It says 30-day free trial to Paramount+. Seems like a bait and switch to me to make you buy this sports line subscription.
It showed in the previous threads.. and it shows on Paramounts site that its legit.. as you see many got it to work:

Agree with you on this but unless Paramount itself stops showing this on its site and/or if they suddenly change they would be opening themselves for a class action lawsuit. So far the link still exists with the below.

Oh, absolutely. But you've got two conflicting statements and websites are allowed to make errors. I firmly believe the subscription will stay, but wanted to point out the opposing argument that the past does not guarantee the future. Lawyers love suits, but a judge would probably side on the company. No way of knowing that either. Wish I watched Paramount more and I would jump in, but when I canceled last ime a few days before renewal, they allowed me to stay on their site but my Paramount+ ended immediately. Wish you all good luck and happy streaming!
