So I have a few of these strips and I love it, but before you purchase it consider if you will need to constantly power on/off the outlets via a schedule. If you don't need to, a power strip + the individual plugs might be better. I end up having 3 that's always on, and a few on a schedule. The other issue is the power cord is shorter than typical surge protectors.

can each usb be controlled individually? Does this make sense to only charge devices after peak hours? In Bay Area, its 50 cents kwh for peak and 25 cents for non peak.
USB cannot be controlled. Just the outlets. I have 3.

I have this and one aspect I wish they change is a longer cord. It is on the shorter side.

I have this and it works great as my battery charging center for my variety of power tools. I have 12V Bosch, 56V Ego, 18V Makita, and 18V Ryobi all on this and turn on each charger on a timer.

I only wish Kasa was leaning towards Matter but it looks like only the Tapo brand of Tp-link will be Matter so I don't plan on buying more smart devices for a while.

How are people using this strip? I have a house full of Kasa switches, but I'm struggling to find a good use case for this power strip.

Bought it at this price and it works great. It is smart home connected via HomeAssistant and everything shows up properly.
What are your use cases for the strip?

owned this powerstrip for 4 years and reliable. I have a bunch of av equipment under a pedestal stand...works great to power off before a major storm, resetting a device or just curious to view the power consumption metrics or realtime

The USB ports are always on and cannot be controlled at all. This is disappointing for whomever would want this to use this to control USB powered devices such as LED string lights.
Then what you want is a similar smart strip from Feit instead. It has 4 USB ports and they are individually controllable. I have one USB port for my TV 'back lights', another for my shelf lights, and another for the wireless transmitter for my subwoofer.

I'm going to try it with my office reef tank, set up feed modes so the pump and wave maker turn off for 20 minutes twice a day, maybe put the skimmer on an every other day schedule so it runs dirtier when I have zoas. Limit the auto top off for 3 minutes a day. These are just plans though, I'll know how it goes when it gets here

I use Kasa devices with SmartThings no problem. You just link the Kasa account to SmartThings. Then you can manage the Kasa devices with SmartThings.

You could plug in a USB charger and use the strip to turn it on and off
Ugh….that's like so much extra work…

Is it? It's just plugging in a charger w/usb into one of the sockets.
