Flew AA last summer to Haneda from LAX and it was a really nice and smooth flight.

You can get cheaper with ZipAir (flights can sometimes go sub $500) with less creature comforts. From LAX, this is a decent price.

Would highly recommend Okinawa. Got to try some of the most unique foods that you can't really find elsewhere in Japan!

Since there's a stopover in Tokyo, you'll probably see Mt Fuji on the Tokyo-Okinawa portion. In my experience that's usually on the right side of the plane

Don't know if you can build in an overnight stopover on this for the same price

Nice! I've never made it down to Okinawa, but I hear it's nice. As others have mentioned, the weather is much warmer than the rest of Japan during the winter months. I did study abroad in Tokyo back in undergrad. Then I lived and worked in Osaka for about 3 years. Okinawa is definitely on my list.

We got it. My grandpa had a ticket here in 43 but got diverted to Guam. Thankfully
