Just last month when we had Black Friday I was thinking about the crazy campout and lines all day and night in front of every Fry's in SoCal. Luckily I have 2 Micro Centers near by that's like a mini Fry's.

Me and a buddy camped out in college for 2 things: Best Buy BF, and the first LOTR...good times!

You can pick up a motherboard from Frys with the Ribeyes, better than AlbertScums.

If Frys Electronic would have dedicated half of their store to groceries, maybe they would still be in business
Maybe. Margins are low on groceries. But foot traffic may have helped.

Totally. I was shocked when I saw the logo, though fry's is back. Smilie

Vividly remember the similar situation at the MC Tustin CA. store Black Friday 2005/2006?. They had 37" / 42" Olivia brand 1080p TV's. Had to be 250 people in line if not more when I arrived at 3:00 in the morning Snagged the 42" and that thing still worked three years ago when I gave it away. Did the same at Fry's Anaheim around the same time frame.

Fry's (and Fred Meyer) is Kroger not Alberstons (Safeway is Albertsons).

There was nothing great about those stores. Jacked up prices all the time. It was nice having a radio shack for small electronic components.

Just bought 20 lbs of ribeye from Raleys here in NoCal area for 5.97/lb and verified it is indeed USDA Choice per the plastic wrapping.
