Nice to see the price drop a bit on this as the difference in performance (per rtings) between this and the Q5 are pretty minimal (75 nits brighter) and it is getting hard to justify the extra $100 vs only $50 at this price point. Curious if sales on the hisense u6k will follow.

I bought this from Walmart for our bedroom. I have a bunch of Roku/TCL TVs and all have been pretty decent (except for 1 hardware failure). Anyways, the picture quality is good for the price, but the Google TV interface is pure garbage on this model. Luckily, TCL knew this and gives you and option to set it up as a "Basic TV" (which still uses Android and has some basic streaming apps installed). Anyways, if you buy this TV, be prepared to purchase/use a 3rd party streaming device with it instead of using the included Google TV interface. I'm using a Roku stick ATM.

Interesting! Didn't realize Google TV was that bad. I bought the 43" TCL QLED from Costco last month that has FireTV. So far so good! Will prob buy another TCL in the future as they're solid budget TVs

Weird, I have a TCL Google TV and a Roku one and I so prefer the Google TV.

If this had roku I'd be hitting the buy button. We have a few other roku TCLs we have been very happy with especially for the price and I don't think my wife or 6 year old wants to learn multiple OS.
