If have Amazon credit card, as I do, the option of 6% cash back or 12 month 0% APR is icing on the cake. Walmart credit card don't, neither does Target. BBY does however but 5% back in reward.
I personally prefer Amazon credit card for max cash back and installment plan but I don't shop there so irrelevant to me.

And it comes with a catch. If you ever opt to return because better deal can be had, that $75 free gift card becomes IOU. Gift card is not cash objectively. You can opt to have it price match but YMMV. Target isn't that lenient.
Only target shoppers do see it as "cash" which is done by design to get you to come back vs processing the return. Not all users shop there nor want it partly because of that catch and groceries for example is not always cheap+smaller selection to choose from. The targeted buyers of that aforementioned Xbox deal are narrow compared to Amazon or Walmart.
