The Silicon on the handles seems to always come off on the handles.

I bought a set of these on AliExpress for like $1. They look identical. I squeezed them a little hard to test them and they basically balled up like tin foil. In for a Cuisinart brand.

They look almost exactly like the ones from Walmart that cost $2.44

These are very good quality and the spring is very sturdy. But if you need to use it repeatedly you'll feel in it in your hands.

How does the mechanism to keep them retracted hold up? That's the only issue I ever have with tongs where they end up staying open inside the drawer and preventing it from opening.

Had 2 of these for 3+ years. Never had them open up accidentally. WMMV.

I bought cheapies on Amazon in the past and most broke. Thus I ordered two last week and they just came. They do LOOK nearly identical but they feel like they will last. For those who don't know, the clip that keeps them closed or allows them to be used is what always breaks.

The exact same ones are sold by tjmax/burlington for $4. The difference with cuisinart compared to generic brands, is that the silicone tips are more rubbery, instead of thin and brittle.

It's a Japanese store and like a discounted version of bed and bath beyond. Several locations in a few states.
