This is a good price, but it was even lower once. Checked my email and looks like I paid $153 + tax on Oct11 from Logitech. I think it was $163 + $10 discount for amex. Haven't seen a sale this low before/after so this is still a decent deal.

I think some people modify the brake pedal spring/action to thier liking, but it takes some aftermarket parts. Either way I would definitely recommend a racing chair or cockpit. Clamping these to your desk just never gets rid of the wobble from coming loose. Still an amazing time if you have a proper setup

If the refurb works and has a warranty. I'd just keep it. Put $10 in your pocket for virtual gas.

Yep, load cell mods.

Get thrust master from Dell when it goes on sale with Dell gc plus Amex cashback which runs often , everything needs to align to get best pricing but that's a better system compared to Logitech, this one always felt more arcade than a real sim, best comparison in terms of gaming dirt5 (Logitech) vs grand turismo7(Thrustmaster) ! Atleast for me I felt that way

While I agree with it being more mature, the Direct Drive wheel base and adapter are cheaper and more powerful than the Thrustmaster DD kit. Also, the Logitech DD11 has a built in cooling solution, so it never overheats.

Yes, if you want more wheel choices for future upgrades, then Thrustmaster wins hands down, but there are strengths in the upgrade path for
Logitech too.

If you want direct drive and have the budget, the Asetek Tony Kanaan edition from Microcenter is a great deal.
