FYI these are toxic to cats
This plant grows fast and big... seriously. Maybe you can prune and control it ......but it got too big for our house size. Also I was afraid one day it would say " Feed me Seymour...."
Have many cats and many monestera plants. Never had any problems. Cats like to play in leaves. Unless they are gnawing on the plant, should not be an issue.

Yes, this gets big and unruly. Roots are gnarly too, fill up the pot in no time. I use U bamboo stakes and ties to keep it somewhat under control. But it looks great.

Thai is a nice plant to put in a corner or alcove that gets plenty of indirect light. The leaves last a long time, my plant has leaves that are 6+ months old. You can control the size by keeping it in a manageable sized container. Mine is in a 10" plastic container; because it is top-heavy, I best it in a larger ceramic pot. I won't repot it or that will allow it to grow much larger than I want. Weekly watering during spring/summer/fall and monthly watering in winter.

You can easily propagate them. My wife takes clippings and puts them in water. They thrive and she gives them away to people.

It's definitely one of the most fun plants, in my opinion, because of how fast it grows and the holes in the leaves. One of the best houseplants.
