Dim 16:9 screen, only one USB-C port. No USB 4 or thunderbolt.

The RAM and SSD are very nice, but for this much money I'd rather get a 4070 laptop(with more than one USB-C and a brighter screen) and upgrade the RAM/SSD later as needed.

If you consider 350-nits to be dim, you need to get your eyes checked, bud.

Agree the "nits twits" are out of control.

FYI, "lowest so far" is a technicality.
This is not the best price imo. If you really want it fully-built with Windows pre-installed sure, but this previous post was much better. (Even before zip which can be paid off immediately)
Especially considering it's primarily enthusiasts that look more into niche brands like eluktronics.

64GB ram will most definitely go unused for games, but I will conservatively assume 32GB which is $80 (DDR4/5 has minor impact). SSDs are very cheap, 2TB is less than $110. Windows keys are less than $50. If we theoretically built it with the $899 4070 model it would have still come out to about $50 less...

Wajahat themselves have posted laptops with 4060/4070 for cheaper (TUF F15 for $999), so I would recommend looking into those or waiting for a better sale.

edit: Legion Pro 5i will most definitely be a better machine (competitive perf., solid build, name brand, etc) and it's 1080 right now new on eBay.

Omen 16 is the same price but with Ryzen 9 and 4070 at Best Buy. (caveat is 1080p display which pairs better with 4060 or even 4050 than 4070)

theyre a company that takes a rebranded laptop and spins and changes it for their own design, primarily for gaming.

Companies like Eluktronics and XMG make minor changes to designs of laptops produced by Tongfang or Clevo (which historically has made laptops for like XoticPC)

Think of these companies basically doing the support and minor additoins to a laptop design, as well as curate some of the designs as not all of the designs are actually good ones.

I also read that majority of the electrunokics or whatever are also fricken little heaters, throttle/overheating. tons of HP but literal furnaces.

yes I read this, every single damn year. people buy electronics high specced then say they over heat and require laptop coolers.

zero interest in the brand as its pretty common with this brand. high hp Ferraris with terrible heat issues often

Doesn't apply to this particular system but it seems they've tackled that heat issue more than any other brand with an external liquid cooler.

I have had a Eluktronics P650 for a long time and for the first time i used their support to try to order a new keyboard to replace my worn out one. Instead of telling me it wasn't available they sent me a link to a great deal on a replacement on Ebay. Mine has never over-heated although i don't game. They had great support for my old laptop and i would buy another one if this one gets outdated.

Lol, not sure how you consider it bad. Originally you said they provide Ferrari type horsepower but too much heat. Now you can have the Ferrari type hp without the heat plus it connects and disconnects as easily as a power cord. I tried to search again and couldn't find the heat issues you're talking about. What I did find is they hold the world's #1 ranking on 3Dmark for the RTX 4090 in a laptop.
