Sam's Club is having a $100 discount off this set, but the real deal is that these are not the iO 7. They're the iO 9. Look on Oral B's website and you will see only the iO 9 has the color Aquamarine. I got two sets and can confirm they're 100% iO 9. I was pleasantly surprised at first that mine had color and thought I had gotten the iO 8, but then I find the tongue cleaning function. Together, there are 7 functions that only the iO 9 and 10 have.

I was a long time diamond care user that got tired of replacing them every 2 years. I really like the iO 9 and its vibrant color display. It's nice to see the timer on the toothbrush itself.

You guys didn't read? It's sold as the iO 7 but it's actually the iO 9. The iO 7 doesn't come in Aquamarine and there's color display, 3D tracking, and 7 functions.

I read. But if only going by aquamarine color then it may just be a Sam's club special edition thing. But if yours in fact has the extra cleaning modes then that's awesome. But Sam's club site only mentions the cleaning modes same as series 7 and not additional modes of series 9.

Also, they both label the same exact marketing word for word for the 3D tracking stuff: "The app uses highly sophisticated 3D brushing recognition and AI technology to access your brushing behaviors across the 6 zones in your mouth." That exact thing is on both product pages on oral B website.

Easiest way to tell is if you turn it on and it's color then you know it's at least an iO 8. Then if you have the tongue cleaning function then that's the iO 9 for sure. I don't think Oral B bothered making an iO 7 in special edition Aquamarine and just packaged the iO 9 instead. I bought 2 sets a month apart and both were iO 9.

Yeah, confirmed it's a 9. Though nothing on the box or instructions says its even a 7. My thinking it's they may have put 9s that didn't pass quality control, cosmetically. At least for mine, the "Oral" is pretty scratched out.

Does it come with the charging case? My understanding is that everything up to Series 7 is a hard case and 8/9/10 have charging cases, which to me is the big draw.

Mine came in today and it's a series 9 for sure but the case is not charging and only a standard. So I guess that's the trade off for a cheaper price. If you add the 2 missing charge case and 4 brush heads it still is a bit cheaper the buying 2 full sets from Oral B at $200 each. If you want the full set then the Walgreens deal is the best. If you want two and don't care about the charging case then this is for you.
