This is great! I purchased one on Oct. 22 as a Christmas present for my daughter and paid $329. It was a front page deal that day, I believe. Oct. 22 also happens to be the first day that they offer a price guarantees for the holidays season. Depends. The big difference with the 9 is a newer silicon processor (possibly means better battery performance), bright screen, lower brightness settings, gesturing/ double tap, 64GB storage bs 32gb, scratches easier due to material. Also, Stainless steel s8 is slightly heavier b/c it's made of SS.

All that said, I personally don't care about any of those upgrades so snagged an S8 on discount.

I'd say go for the SE…unless your 10 year old is a fitness nut, into sleep tracking, or worried about cardiac issues. SE 2nd gen is basically the same watch without a bunch of the extra sensors (02, temp, ecg)…GPS works the same

As an adult if you always have your phone I'd agree, but these are great for kids in school as they can actually have them on them in case of emergency. You can always track them to if something happens so while I'd agree adults generally don't need cellular model, they are a great emergency device for kids.

FYI I was an early adopter of the Apple Watch with cellular feature. I believe I had it on a 3. Anyway, aside from playing around with it when I first got the watch I never ised the feature. Now I could see where it might come in handy for someone in school or at work that doesn't allow phones.
