As a Hyundai owner, I follow the related subreddit and people post the aftermath of their recovered Hyundais. A lot of them were totalled, and a few get chopped. For example, one guy's recovered Elantra had no engine, transmission or electronics.
Luckily both of my Hyundais have push button start. Typically, the "Kia Boyz" skip over cars with push button start. At worst, they'll break your window and leave as outlined on the Hyundai subreddits. So far, I've had no troubles (fingers crossed). But a buddy who lives in LA had his push button start Sonata stolen by a guy with a Flipper Zero. Surprisingly it was recovered a few months later. It was waiting to be shipped abroad so it was in good shape when returned. So push button start isn't full proof.

Data suggests newer ones will last 500,000 miles for non-LFPs, and likely 1,000,000 miles for LFPs. Both FAR above the average # of miles any car sees in its lifetime.

As result majority of model Y owners are horribly underwater on their vehicle. Not something I would be recommending others to do....
