Check the item number - contrary to popular belief, Costco is shady at times as well although not as much as any other retailer or wholesaler…..
It's the same item number, but those that are produced at certain facility are recalled months ago, so likely they are not selling those anymore. The facility name is printed on the tag for you to confirm whether you have the bad batch or not. Item number is not the way to find out whether you have the bad one.

Are these cheaper in store? I need a good king size mattress that is on the firmer side. I'm 6'8 and 230 lbs, having my 2nd back surgery Thursday. 🤕

They're $100 less in store in the Los Angeles area if you're nearby. Check Alhambra, City of Industry, and Cypress. There were 6 left at Alhambra about an hour ago.

Item number is irrelevant - this mattress always uses the same item number. The tags have dates and locations, which is how you know which are recalled. It was only some and Costco removed them from stores immediately.

The number being the same doesn't mean anything. Go back to school.

I really don't think Costco will try to sell a recalled product. They have reached out when I product is recalled to every member who purchased.
I had a mattress manufacturered outside the recall window, and away from the recall manufacturer locations, and it had mold exactly as described in the recalled models. Novaform did a refund anyways, because they're shady as shit.

My closest warehouse never put up the recall notice in store.

Warehouses were (and are) selling mattresses that may (key word-may) be still be susceptible to mold. Several people in our social circle, who also purchased these mattresses, and who's mattresses were outside the recall dates/locations, also had mold.

I don't trust either company when it comes to this.

I'd never buy a Novaform again.

As a counter, my queen is manufactured in the facility under the dates indicated, and mine doesn't have any mold.

I don't think there is any real mal-intent as they sent a recall notice directly to my house. I'm sure I could get a refund if I wanted, but my mattress shows no signs, so I won't worry about it. I will periodically look for mold though.

The mattress has been great so far.

I bought lunch meat from Costco that was on "sale", got it home and it expired that day. I put it in the freezer and took it back no questions asked two weeks later.
As long as you aren't abusing their return policy, Costco will pretty much return anything. Wait until the Christmas holidays. You'll see people returning Christmas decorations, trees, etc., After the Superbowl, people used to return their huge TV's. I've seen people return jackets during spring... right after they used it during the winter season. Some people have no class or morals and abuse the policy. Costco should ban these suckers for life but they give them way too many chances. For seasonal items, they should offer a one week return policy.

I'm a sidesleeper myself, and in the 200-220lb range depending on the season. I'd call it medium firm. We have a Sleepy medium firm Curve that I'd say is slightly more firm, but pretty close. Both in that ~$500 mattress range.

Mine definitely has a little shaping and a few indents after 2+ years of daily use, but nothing that affects my sleep. I rotate it every 6 months or so. Temperature wise I like it more than our Sleepy's mattress for sure.

I can definitely tell when I end up on much softer memory foam mattresses as they just destroy my back and I wake up with my arms asleep

Three years ago I paid ~$600 for a queen but now there are slight signs of sagging where the hip area is. I even rotate it every six months with normal use. For reference, I weigh 165. My parents have the same mattress for the same amount of time but my dad's side has much worse sagging due to him spending more time on it. Same weight.

TBH, pretty disappointed given the light duty. I've since moved on to an Aireloom (but costing a lot more).
