$7 is $7, and in this economy I'm not giving my hard-earned money away.

True. They helped revolutionize the industry, made games look stunning, allowed regular people to build with their engine for free, and want their developers to get paid appropriately for their hard work. Terrible company.

Once you get past the 'get away' Chapter (into the snowy mountains), the story starts to grab you more.

This isn't a slow 'walking simulator' like some games, nor is it a bloodbath 40-man shootout for every mission. The real quality of this game comes in the form of the story, which reads like a very, very good book - that and the utter unpredictability of the world.

One minute, you're riding along a trail marveling at the lightening and rain hammering you and your horse - the next second, you're on the ground with a cougar ripping at your neck, wondering where in the the h*ll did that come from.

It's a beautiful, emotional ride if you let the story pull you into their world. Good luck.

The economy is in shambles and we are closer to nuclear armageddon ww3 nightmare world than any time in history. I think we all know that, deep down. Simply look at average wage vs average rent and despair. Median house price went up roughly 25% in 3 years. Inflation is so high that banking your money is a bad idea - put away a dollar today, it'll be worth 90 cents next year, maybe.

I'm tempted to pick this up, it's about what I paid for GTA5 on PC back in the day, and I enjoyed RDR1 on the PS3 waaay back in the day.

Huge gamer, loved Red Dead I, slow at times but liked it. I am 2 hours into RD II and wow, just cannot get into it, so slow. How abnormal is this?

Man I felt the same. I had bought it during a steam sale earlier this year... Got a few hours in and was bored. I also thought the controls (using Xbox controller) was clunky. I ended up going through steam to get a refund.

Maybe due to Series X vs PC. Controller feels so off and slow, just something is off
