I played this for free with ps+, but I'd definitely pay the $2 for it. Apparently people say this game is incredibly harder than souls, but I thought it was pretty easy once I got the hang of this battle style. But I also never played a souls game.

I played this for free with ps+, but I'd definitely pay the $2 for it. Apparently people say this game is incredibly harder than souls, but I thought it was pretty easy once I got the hang of this battle style. But I also never played a souls game.

This is a pretty solid game overall. It's nowhere near as polished as the souls games, there are some difficulty spikes (some of which is due to bad design rather than strictly player skill) and the level design is lacking a bit as well, but I would still recommend it to fans of the genre. The sequel is better, too.

Agree with the above comments and would also note it's quite a bit faster than the earlier Dark Souls games. It has a novel mechanic where you have to dismember enemies to obtain their weapons and armor, which is really satisfying if you ask me. For $2 I don't think you can go wrong - it's pretty hard at first but once you get the hang of it, it becomes a lot more manageable.

This game is pretty good. Definitely worth it for a couple bucks. The second game is quite a bit better, though.

Works great on the steam deck if you want to jump through the hoops for GOG.

What kind of bugs?

One of the (albeit rare) downsides of PC gaming is that different hardware configurations can sometimes introduce compatibility issues that cause uncaught bugs.

Most small studios only have a handful of configurations to test with, leaving a lot unchecked.

This is why bug reporting is very important.

This game is awesome and the 2nd one. They are hard as hell though. I was terrible at the soul's games but could get through these.

Yes, buy through Steam. Works perfectly--really good game. I would recommend the DLC (not sure how much that costs right now).

My only bug is that I have to turn on my wireless controller first before starting the game or else it doesn't recognize it.

If you don't have game pass don't walk RUN and get this game. If you like souls like hard games this will be for you. One of my favorite games of all time! Make sure you get the dlc's as well super fun!!!!! Most under rated souls like game of all time
