Same front page deal @ Woot.com from Thanksgiving week.

Woot! has 4-Pack Philips Hue White BR30 LED Smart Bulb $29.99 (choose the 4-Pack from the dropdown). Shipping is free w/ Amazon Prime or is otherwise a flat $6 per order.

Agree - looks like a good deal. However, when adding to cart, the description says "Philips Hue White 2-pack Smart LED Bulb". So would we get 4 bulbs for $29.99 or 2?

Thanks for any clarification!

Yeah, that threw me off at first. If you look in the description in the cart it says "Size - 4 count (Pack of 1)" .

Right - so it might be taking a bit of a risk unless Woot provides some clarification or fixes the wording for the description in the cart.

I personally would prefer knowing what I am getting before placing the order since returning a Woot order does not seem to be as straightforward as returning things to Amazon - even if the mistake is on Woot's end for an incorrect description.

Edit: The confusing part of the description could also create questions / problems when submitting for any local LED bulb rebates where the utility company running the promo might question - "how many bulbs did you get - it's not clear from the invoice you submitted"?

Thanks for the quick response,
-Topper

I added the 4-pack to the cart and once I placed the order I noticed it said 2-pack. I tried to back out but it was too late.

I then went to check the order history and in fact it does say 4-pack.

Decent deal if you don't mind the older 60w builbs, but they're not very bright IMO and the newer ones are 75w and 100w which does make a big difference in light output.

I have the normal Hue color changing bulbs around the house. How are these soft white ones? Are they dimmable? Bright enough?

It is dimmable. Not sure how bright it is but it says 10W=50W equivalent. Should be good, if not just use two together

I have two 3-packs of first gen Hue bulbs with hubs. Has anyone had luck with software to control these? Tried two versions off of Google Play with horrible reviews. They were disasters. Any suggestions?
