the old game was very hard and irritating, could be enjoyed with instant "save states" emulation but otherwise no not fun, beats you over the head, dumb

I've always liked the game but for me its pretty hard its just as frustrating as when in I was a kid.
Tough AF.......up there with cuphead which I never finished.

I always loved the Super Nintendo version since that's just what I had growing up, it wasn't too difficult but I'm sure they intentionally made it a lot easier for general audiences and to increase it's appeal.

This is more based on the arcade game I guess? All the different versions throughout the years are a bit hard to keep track of. I played and enjoyed the arcade version as well about a decade ago, I don't remember too much, but I'm sure I probably used a million save states 😄

The port of the worst version - NES graphics or nothing. Just Ghost 'n 'Goblins. It's free in the nintendo emulator on switch.

I bought this on switch at launch. Great game but frustrating. Ghouls and Ghosts on the Genesis is still one of my favorite games. Difficulty is just right on that one.
