Got the 20% off on the 8750 Watt electric start. 516.87 before taxes. I jumped on that faster than your mom. These smokes the previous FP deal right?
It was $1000 to wire the entire basement, including installing about 15 electrical outlets and three light fixtures as well as installing the generator interconnect kit. I was guessing that if you were only doing the generator interconnect kit, it would cost maybe $400-$500. I apologize for not being more clear.
Same experience with a 1500W version except it was the fuel line. Leaked from the beginning and no real way to return it or get warranty service. Thankfully it was literally only $100 down the drain. Never buying this brand again.

Where are you guys seeing the 20% off coupon?
It expired unfortunately. For some reason these generators fell under a "foot, hand & hail care" 20% off coupon [amazon.com] for targeted accounts. They may of had a certain amount of promo $ tied to that coupon or something, because it expired pretty soon after this deal went FP.

Throw it in a shed and add a 800+cfm vent fan and pipe the exhaust out. Use common sense.

It seemed to be a glitch where a 20% hair & nail coupon available to certain accounts also worked for this deal. Looks like they fixed it.

They're still the lowest prices ever and by a lot without the coupons. I have EcoFlows and am trying to justify one of these. It's almost too good to pass up, and I know little about invertors.

I bought the 6250W a couple of weeks ago (20% coupon) then they slashed the price. I got a 20% adjustment a few days ago. Would have loved the bigger unit but under $400 for a inverter generator is pretty good for me.
All I have done so far is the 5 hour break-in, testing, and then oil change, with a 30 minute re-run after. Not to anxious to put to the test but I am ready if needed.

I got a 20% adjustment a few days ago by opening a chat. after doing such, you are NOT eligible for a refund from Amazon. Since I had already tested it I was not looking to do any tricks and the generator worked fine.. Would have loved the bigger unit but under $400 for a inverter generator is pretty good for me.

How much extra will it cost take to turn it into a whole home backup system?
For me it cost $563.33 to turn into a back up system. However, I converted mine to propane/NG, so $430.38 of that cost was doing that project.

If I wanted to just run on gasoline, it would have been $28.83, for an interlock kit, $88.62 for a 50' cord, $12.24 for a magnetic dipstick (optional) and $15.50 for a tach (optional).

Great deal on the 8750. Picked that up earlier this year from Walmart and converted in to tri-fuel with the US Carburetion kit. Wish I would have gotten the generator for this price though.
Can you convert any of these to tri-fuel? The only reason why I haven't bit on this is because I want to be able to hook it to the natural gas line.

What kit did you get?

Excellent. Do you think a 460 CFM fan would be too low. I already have one handy.

You could even stick a wi-fi enabled smart controller in the shed for enviroment monitoring. Control and monitor the fan and other plugged-in components wirelessly.

Screw the neighbors lol. But in all honesty when we have had to use a generator like last year during the blizzard the whole neighborhood was humming with generators. Nobody really cares when they all have them fired up.
Nobody in my hood has one. My wife fears they'll be out to steal ours, and our cameras will be out because of wifi, so I'll be left guarding the damn thing. I'm still finding it hard to resist.

I just had an electrician come out to my house yesterday to wire up an unfinished basement and install a generator interconnect. He installed a panel outside to plug the generator into and wired it directly into the circuit breaker box. All the work was about 1000 bucks. I apologize that I do not have an itemized bill but if I had to guess I would say probably $400-$500.

Lowest price ever on all of them by a decent amount, even without the coupon.

I don't understand. Was it $400-$500 or $1000?
