fyi i believe the departed (with leonardo dicaprio) is a remake of infernal affairs.

All these movies are available digitally for streaming on the Criterion Channel. I pay $99 a year for a subscription through Apple, or $11 per month. It also has hundreds of other Hong Kong/Chinese films and themed collections.

Great movies! Once Upon a time in China series and others are also on Vudu, but not on sale. (Movies aren't MA)

It was shot on 35mm film, which if properly scanned would have an equivalent resolution of about 5.6k. the key being properly scanned and mastered, though.

Classic Hong Kong movies. Wonder why China with it being so rich now couldn't produce anything recognizable. Meanwhile a small island HK was able to produce so many classics decades ago.
