This is a good soundbar, if simplicity is your aim. It's easy to set up and sounds much better than TV speakers.

What is the process for obtaining the EDU or EPP membership?

I have the AAA membership and access to those deals, but currently the AAA deal for this sound bar is $1399, so I'm wondering if I could somehow qualify for EDU or EPP?

I did purchase this last week with EDU discount for $896. I just talked to Samsung rep and they price matched for $840. Getting $56 back. The sound is amazing. That's all I can say.

Good to hear. I decided to take the plunge and just now ordered this Q990C. Been waiting since the last time, to see if it would hit $700 again. But seeing how the rep was nice to you, maybe they would do the same if the price drops back to $700 in the future.

Okay I check the price when I wake up at 7:00 AM EST and noticed it was $804 then and then at 9:30 AM EST it was $840. My guess is check sometime around 7 am EST as it appears they are setting the price at that time.

Nope, not by it self. I remember it being around 600 when bundled with a tv.
