Been wondering that m'self. Lexar is supposedly better than it used to be, but the bar now is so low for "good" I don't know what to believe.

Subbed for input from people with experience with the product.

Flash chips are going up 25-30% in 2024 so expect prices of RAM and SSDs to rise as well. They already are…

Historically memory chips have always been getting cheaper except for the occasional temporary price hikes…

Note: The Lexar portable SSD is a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 (20Gbps) device with read and write speeds up to 2000MB/s. However, the achieved speed also depends on your host device. If your host device doesn't support USB 3.2 Gen 2x2, then the product will not have the same speed.

Considering I got the Samsung 2TB T7 for $80, this deal is semi warm at best as most devices cannot take advantage of the 2000MB/s speeds and there are currently no other SSD deals right now.

This is a shit price for 1TB. They've been trying to sell them at this price for at least 2 months now at my local warehouse. No one is interested.

End of November, there was an external 2TB USB-C 3.2 1050 MB/s fromPC Connection [connection.com] for $69.95. This is about the same price for half the space (but faster). Questionable if this is a deal or not.
