The toughbuilt weighs about 8 lbs more but looks to be more durable at the corners and have less complaints about flex in the table surface. It has a 2 step opening mechanism vs 1 for the dewalt, but the handle pushes in flush with the edge when deployed, which is not the case for the dewalt.
I was looking at both earlier in the year, and would have gone w toughbuilt, but it hasn't hit sale price in my area.
I picked that up at sams the other day but have not put it together yet. Looks well made though.
I got the same? Similar table from walmart two years ag, it just comes out of the box and it's set up to go. It really like it and if needed a second one would buy it without hesitation for the price of 1 i would have two portable tables compared to ToughBuilt one. The rated 1000lbs sounds nice but no one is putting an engine on it or using them as scaffolding platforms, just my opinion.
I have several of the DEWALT tables and they are well built except for one issue that I've encountered below. They deploy the fastest and fold up quick. The tables also store well and are able to stand on end / stack on top of each other.
But…after opening and closing for a year or so, the sliding mechanism detached from the table. I definitely like the design of the dewalt but if they offer an extended warranty thru HD, I would pay a few bucks extra for that. This same problem has happened to 4 out of the 5 that I have. Would I buy again, yes even knowing the issues that I've had.
And lastly, I purchased the Dewalt table at the lowest price I've seen several years ago at $69.

Question: Do any of you have a tool cabinet with a wood top? If so, does it make sense to buy one of these or just use the cabinet?
