Comparison with a $2,000 computer. shake head Even a new 2021 model MBP is $1300-1500, vs. this at $600. Seems like this one is pretty good for the money.

Yes, this is available for shipping. But you need to pay for it.
In my case, $19.85 is charged.

Any personal knowledge or references for the performance on this machines; especially for gaming? I'm having trouble finding info on the GPU. I know it's not a dedicated card, but I did find an article (https://www.pcmag.com/news/intels...orHeroSec) that compares some version of the iris Xe to a comparable card. I'm not really a gamer but I am interested in getting into sim racing and would like to be able to use this to start before buying a dedicated gaming PC (which would probably be a desktop).

edit: After running a framerate calculator with the comparable dedicated card, it's clear than any current gaming laptop is far far faster... Guess I'm not that surprised; just hoped the tech for integrated graphics had advance a little more.

wish it had HDMI as well, which the costco HP pavillion did have. if you use one of the thunderbolt ports for charging, you're left with only one thunderbolt port for display out (granted you can buy an adapter or dock) but would've been nice to have an HDMI port as well.this one also has windows 11 pro as opposed to home but not sure this makes much difference

I have this laptop, I don't game. I mainly use it for Software Deveopment. I was hoping it would be faster than my older 2021 Macbook Pro, but its not. Its an ok machine for the money. Will get the job done. But if you are expecting to be blown away you might be disappointed. I was.....

No laptop is going to compete with even an older desktop in terms of performance, esp. for gaming. checkout https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bq9O99TgFv4

I got this laptop with a 13th gen i5 for ~640 from Lenovo during Black Friday. Battery life was horrible. And the touch screen wasn't working. Had to return. I don't know if it was the unit I got...but if that's how long the battery lasts for a charge, this will be worse I guess

I have a i7-1355u (slightly slower but also newer) that works well for LIGHT gaming. I can play Far Cry 5, Fallout 76, etc on lower settings at a playable frame rate. Older games are a breeze for the iCPU.

Background on me: 95% of the time I game on my Steam Deck, 4% on my desktop (I have a 4060 there), and about 1% of the time on my 2-in-1, which is also a Lenovo 7i.

As long as you expect the reasonable I think you'll be okay.

BTW, what framerate calculator are you using?

I suppose that's one way to do a comparison. But if you were to look at the hardware. I have a MBP that's an 8 core machine VS a 12 core i7. Ram is the same. There are other aspects as well. Also this machine when it first came out was around 1k. It is also at least a year newer, with newer tech. But ya, I guess everyone compares differently. Net net the MBP runs circles around it. Even my 2020 Macbook air which you can pick up for about 800 bucks these days beats this thing. Still when I want to do .NET development I use this laptop for that.
