In terms of price, this is the lowest I have ever seen the product and is even cheaper than buying on B&H with the PayBoo card to save tax or buying direct from Insta360.
If you want to get into video shooting but don't want to spend a lot of money, this is probably the cheapest route to go. You can just simply use your existing smartphone (assuming everyone has one) paired with this gimbal.
I owned the product at one point but decided to return it for the DJI Pocket 3 for several reasons.
When you attach a smartphone to the Insta360 flow, it is not a compact device at all. It pretty much screams influencer or tourist compared to the pocket.
Quality of the video is limited to your smartphone sensor size, and format options. In contrast, the DJI Pocket 3 has significantly better video performance with a 1" sensor, 4K 60fps and capability to shoot in D-LogM to color grade later.
We are becoming more dependent on smartphones like it is an extension of our limbs. Consider what would happen if you were traveling and used your phone to shoot video but it was stolen. You would be in trouble since we rely on our phones for everything (banking, navigation, communication, airline tickets etc.. ). i would much rather have a separate device like the pocket get stolen during travel than my smartphone
Range of gimbal motion is limited unlike the Pocket 3.
If you are going to get into shooting video, you will probably need to buy ND filters to get the 180 degree shutter rule (if you don't know what this is, look it up). It gets pretty awkward to attach ND filters to your smartphone depending on what phone model and case you have on it. DJI sells ND filter sets which are magnetic and easy to add/remove.
The Pocket 3 creator combo comes with a wireless mic that allows you to shoot in a raw style format so the audio isn't clipping. This isn't possible if you go the Insta360 flow route and rely on your smartphone audio. You are going to get significantly better audio quality on the pocket.
In other words, if you can afford it, just buy the DJI Pocket 3 / Pocket 3 Creator Combo and call it a day. One situation where I would buy the Insta360 flow is to do FaceTime calls and have the device track me or my kids when talking to their grandparents.
If you want to see the Pocket 3's video capabilities search this video on YouTube "Beginner w/ DJI Ronin 4D vs. Pro w/ DJI Osmo Pocket3" by Full Time Filmmaker
If you want to see the Insta360 Flow's capabilities, search this video on YouTube "20+ Creative Smartphone Gimbal Shot Ideas " by Brandon Li.
I recommend watching both videos and then making your decision. At the end of the day, most of it will come down to your skills as a videographer but the Pocket 3 does make it much easier for beginners to shoot video.

I have heard of this a lot but the reviews seem like the product is made for media influencers as a target audience.

Now it might really be a shitty gimbal, and no influencers on Youtube can be fully trusted as they are paid a lot of money by Insta360 to push their products, or at least they are given free pre-release products to review. I am willing to try at this price, especially with Costco's 90-day no questions asked return policy. I do have DJI OM6 which is also not perfect, so curious how it compares with Insta360.
