Suggestions for a better portable bt speaker? Recently blew the Klipsch Gig I got on a Slickdeal in 2016. Loved that thing
My current top 3 portable use are my JBL extreme, w king t-11 and sound core select pro. All have good battery life and some level of waterproofing. I love my JBL party ox 100 but the lack of water resistance scares me. The newer 110 could be a better option
Does this model have the auxiliary audio line connection? Some of these model have em, some don't..
My Onyx 7 does have an AUX port. I'm assuming this would too unless there was some kind of revision I haven't heard about. Has AUX, DC barrel jack, and a "service" USB-C port.
I picked these up when they were $100 on Black Friday. I'm no audiophile, but the sound is impressive and it feels high quality. I gave several as gifts and the recipients seemed pleased with them as well.

It does not but these are better as stationary speakers in the home. Battery life and lack of water resistance/durability make them less ideal out of the house. Now... I love the 3 previous versions that I have and will be getting another now but they do have some limitations
Personally, I think these are great pool side (just not too close to the pool). We've received numerous compliments at our local community pool about how well the speaker sounds.

I highly recommend it at this price point.
I probably should have noted that I have children and nieces and nephews so anywhere in a half mile of the pool is the danger zone

For bonfire or pool parties I absolutely love the weather rated tribit stormbox blast. But it's a beast (that uses the standard figure 8 ac cable to charge, easy to buy replacements in any length needed and pushes more wattage than you'll see in most USB chargeable speakers.) Downside is it's heavy AF and usually in the $150 range (on Amazon it's currently 145 with coupon https://www.amazon.com/Tribit-Sto...09PMYTJD2/ ) the 30hr play time on a charge is fairly accurate in my experiences at lower volume, but even cranked if you don't have any close neighbors or hate the ones that are close it will definitely last through a bonfire party in any weather.
A more reasonable (size/weight/cost/volume) similarly rated.ip option is the motion boom for $70 https://a.co/d/fCfaEU8 (with up to 24 hrs playtime and no lights.) It is rechargeable via USB C
Of note, the lights can be turned off or changed to two different modes on the tribit. For my uses, the Tribit is the one I take with me when I'm doing something outside where I need loud music for a bunch of people, and the motion boom is my shower speaker as I'm insane.

Agree with others. Bought this around BF. Great sound quality but not portable. Has an awkward shape with the handle which makes it difficult to carry in a backpack. I've always thought of Harmon Kardon as "soft" speakers, meaning they produce rich mid-low range as opposed to some lower end Klipsch speakers that produce more crisper almost tin-like highs. This speaker has great mid range and a good overall balance of high and lows.
The only thing I don't like is the proprietary cable to charge it. I have this on my nightstand to watch on my iPad at night. I use my JBL charge 3 as the portable speaker which doesn't sound nearly as good. I also tried the charge 5 which doesn't have nearly as good clarity or bass.

How heavy and do they sound good? I've for the most part always went with Bose for BT, but curious about these. I tend to like the design here. The barrel style is getting a bit aged
