I have a single mounted in my bathroom space and I paid much more than this price for it. If I needed another I'd definitely buy again. Plenty of bass for an in ceiling.

is there an 8" for sale? also, any reviews? can't really find anything
Not a single review online. I thought about doing one myself but I'm not authority on sound.
Also the 8 inch is 270 each on Canadia's JBL website.
Yes, I know.

8" look to be on sale, have 4 of these in an atmos setup and love them: https://www.jbl.com/loudspeakers/...udspeakers
Don't think they would last long depending on your climate. For similar in wall outdoor application, I found some deals years ago on boat speakers that work well. However you could give these a go for a while then replace when needed.

These look like they'd be fun to build into a nice single unit portable speaker project.
Maybe I just need to buy one at $30 and try it out, then hope it comes down in price again.

These speakers are designed to be free air and not to be put in an enclosure. Not recommended
