Seems like a great deal, but I'm on the fence after reading reviews. Complaints about warped cast iron top, motor dying, and the design flaw of a 2 piece fence guide (being impossible to get square on both sides of the blade). Those writing the bad reviews seem to be more experienced as woodworkers by the detailed reviews.

This is an insane deal at this price. I was ecstatic to get it last time around for about 350. Installed a kobalt router table in it & will build a new master closet with it soon. It's rock solid & ten times better anything else you can get for this price (if you're lucky)

Warped cast iron is a pretty rare occurrence. The motor issue was fixed in 2020, use the serial number to find the year it was manufactured. It's very unlikely there are still any from then that have remained in stores to this day. The 2-piece rails can be fixed with a $100 one-piece rail or, even cheaper, a piece of angle iron. I set mine up as a newbie and it doesn't hang on that transition between the rails.

Basically, if you have any interest in woodworking, and can get one at this price, get it. It's comparable to saws double the regular price of this one. Getting it at $240 is a hell of a steal. Also, join the Delta 36-725 facebook group for a ton more info. The rabbit hole of tweaks and upgrades you can make to it are tons of fun.

If I call the store will they know of it's on sale for $244? Lowe's is an hour away from me but if this is true I'm already on my way.

Update: Called the closest Lowe's to me and they said they had one on clearance for $524.

Very tempting to take the chair out of my vehicle and head to Lowe's on the off-chance that they have one in stock. I was kind of miffed that I missed this deal last time.

If you actually land this, it's a crazy slick deal. I got it for about 500 a year ago and have been very happy. I've done tons of projects with it and never had an issue. It spins my full 8" dado stack adequately. I built a custom plywood router table to put in the wing and that it works great. At some point I'll remove the legs and put it on a custom cabinet as well to make better use of the space underneath.
