PSA: xylitol is extremely toxic to dogs (other animals too?) - one stick of sugar free gum could kill a small dog. Thx OP for posting the ingredient in the title.

That is certainly true, but it's also one of the best sweeteners for dental health.

It's wild what is totally safe for humans but deadly for dogs- I nearly killed one of our pets when I spilled a few macadamia nuts a few years back- the dog ate maybe 2 nuts before I shooed it away and cleaned the rest up, but it was damn close to death within a few minutes after.

Yessir. Good advice. Had a scare and overnight stay in the ER with our ~60lb dog who ate a cup of Icebreakers. Be careful dog owners.
