It's not a matter of if it will leak, but when. If the box is open, your only option is an exchange.

You pretty much need to consider this disposable with 1-2 uses before one of three things happens; (1) air leak at the fill point(s), (2) baffle leaks internally so no support or (3) seam leak. We've owned several over the years and cannot recommend them unless you are handy at repairs. The flocking makes it difficult to repair the leaks...

Bought the twin the last deal ($39) and have used it a couple times since.

It's an air mattress.

Plus notes for me: the built in pump and it hasn't deflated too much over night

Downside: seems like mine is like the opposite of what's normal, the middle is higher than the outside when it's fully inflated so I feel like I'm rolling on either side.

Overall, will be nice to have when I basement camp with the kids, but I may rather sleep on a couch.

We just got back from visiting family for Christmas and stayed on a full-size Itex mattress [it was a basic one without the 'headboard'] and it was comfortable enough. It's brand new and made an intermittent pop-pop sound when we get up, which I initially thought might have been a large pillow falling over onto the mattress. And we think it already lost some of it's air.
We also had an earlier version several years ago that developed some bulges [I called them little hernias at the time] after several uses.
So, while they will work in a pinch, I wouldn't count on one as a long term solution; I do not think they are built to last.

I like cheap junk.

This is a level of cheap junk I won't even go to. I've owned three, all three leaked from various holes. I got three uses or so out of each.

Do not recommend Intex.

This is every air mattress I've ever owned. I've given up on them. They only last a few uses before they start leaking

My daughters own a couple of these, one with the headboard, one without. The one without, she has about 5 years, never any problems but she uses it only when guests come over, which is maybe 5 or 6 times per year. I've been sleeping on the twin size a week now and no problems till one of the internal walls finally gave way and now it has a bulge to one side. Even with the bulge it's still usable. I would say after so much years of use she got her money's worth and some.

The one with the headboard is just a year old but it's the most comfortable air mattress I've ever slept on and have been waiting on this to go on sale ever since. I love these and I bought one to use in a spare room in my own home. It will be replacing a regular bed that's being moved out to make room for an office and the air mattress will be used in there when necessary. I wouldn't be doing this if I wasn't confident that this is a suitable replacement for a comfortable bed, at least even for a few days use.

I've had 2 intex air mattress in the last 5 years. Mine have been great. We normally add memory foam toppers for our guests and they are so impressed at how comfortable it actually is. I find that "pre inflating" them a few hours before use to stretch the creases out helps a lot. Then we top off right before sleep time to ensure enough air throughout the night. I think most people need to adjust their expectations that these products are disposable after a few times and they won't be as disappointed.

I need a model that pumps up based on cpu pressure measurment or one that just auto pumps to max at a reasonable time so it doesn't sag and hurt my back
