Nakamichi went out of businesses years ago. This is probably some cheap Chinese company that bought the right to the name.
I stay away from woot or limit my purchases to $20 max.

I'll be very careful with woot. I recently had to submit a complaint to the BBB to get a refund. They claimed for months to not have received my return even though ups showed otherwise.

Nakamichi did not go out of business. They focus on soundbars now.

No, you are disconnected or has wrong info. Nakamichi is still alive and they are doing good in home theaters and soundbars.
