That makes s for a really nice non-gaming unit. On the technical side, only DDR4, and just the Intel "built in" ,12th gen Iris Xe graphics chip. It's not a lightweight unit, but if the laptops primarily sitting at a desk, or you're not using it in the field/on the go, most people won't care. Plus, it has the 400nit screen, which are often only available on the units sold directly from HP, or the top-end models (which this is).

If this had discrete graphics, I might even be in for one. Then again, I could throw an external PCIe graphics card on the Thunderbolt4 port, and...oohhhh, tempting....

its as good as a low-spec macbook pro 16", with 1/3 of the price. what's not to like

This is a refurb…. While Micro Center refurbs are generally issue free, I had one bad experience with a MacBook Pro which they were not ready to fix after the 90 day period. Buyer beware.
