It's a good rice cooker. I have had one for about 7 years now.

No idea why you say it's comparable to $300 Induction Zojirushi. It isn't.

Features:

5.5 cup (uncooked) capacity
10 cooking menu settings: Plain, Quick (for reduced rice cooking time), Brown, Multigrain, Mixed, Sweet, Porridge, Slow Cook, Steam, and Synchro-Cook
Tiger's own "tacook" cooking plate can cook rice and a main dish without the flavors affecting each other
1.7mm non-stick inner pot allows the heat to circulate evenly while preventing the rice from sticking to the pot
Easy-to-read LCD control panel displays menu selection, time (24-hour format), and countdown to the cooking completion
Automatic "Keep Warm" after cooking completion for up to 12 hours without drying or burning
Reheat warm cooked rice and oatmeal back to cooked temperature
Store 2 preset cooking timer (for breakfast and dinner) to set cooking completion time to your desire
Removable inner pressure control cap
Made in Japan.

We didn't like this rice cooker and ended up returning it. Main complaint was that the lid can not be taken off for washing and has to be wiped in place.

It is comparable to a normal zojirushi to some people but for me, zojirushi is one step ahead. Aren't noway comparable to induction zojirushi. It is a state of art. My family is asian, we eat white rice every day and can tell the difference 😄 for most people this is a good beginner step up from $30 cooker on walmart/target

Unless you are doing the real rice , basmati, it don't matter how you cook it, it's will be an inferior product.

We have this model too. It cooks rice decently, but the non removable lid is annoying

Picked this up the other night with some Homai Calrose sushi rice. It made 1 cup in about 25 minutes, and while I'm white and no rice expert, I'd say it cooked it very well, plus it was super easy too.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to find a decent replacement pot? The tiger website is always sold out of the 5.5 inner pot.
