Got this as part of the last deal back in late November it still hasn't shipped; Lenovo customer service is terrible - can't cancel, no update when it will ship. I'm sure it's a great device, but a miserable buying experience.

If she is already in the Apple ecosystem, I'd get her an iPad. It will be a smaller screen and the audio probably won't be as good, but you can rest assured that you'll get continued support for years, while Lenovo bails on their products rather quickly.

As a case in point, last Christmas (2022) my dad got my wife and daughter the P11 tablets as a gift. An update or two in and Lenovo broke the Widevine level of the tablet so that media apps like Netflix, Hulu, and Prime Video would only play SD content. It got sorted out, but took *months* and it was long enough for both of them to stop using them.

Apple won't do that. Lenovo has shown their ineptitude many times over. I want to like them, because they make pretty great looking devices and I don't hate their Android skin, but I sure don't trust them.

Not sure if you'd be interested, but if you switch to "virtual navigation" (older style 3-button circle, triangle, and three lines) instead of "gesture navigation" you won't see the line. I like having the 'buttons' so I did that right out of the box. Personal preference, I guess. (BTW, I love mine too. No issues and it's perfect for reading sheet music at 1/4 the price of an IPad)

Not crazy about this trend where tablets are getting bigger but the specs are barely acceptable for a phone 6 years ago
