This unit constantly beeps when you have a power outage. Yes, you can press the button and it will stop beeping but on the next power outage it will beep again. You cannot mute it permanently.

Liebert is probably the most recognized manufacturer of commercial computer room cooling equipment. They later expanded into the power side of data centers, probably 50 yrs ago now. APC, which is more well known in the consumer market, went the other direction of starting on the power side of computers and then expanded into the data center HVAC side maybe a couple decades ago.

Defintely not bad for one that can handle 500W, but on the other hand, it's not APC...

I need that NUT support.

(for anyone who is confused, look into Home Assistant for your local devices)

Just a heads up that this is considered "Non-returnable" by Amazon. Previous items like these where I had trouble with when receiving it, I had to go through Amazon CS for a special exception to either have it shipped back or issued Amazon gift card credit only. Not a huge deal, but you can't simply "click a few buttons" to return it if needed.

BH Photo is an authorized Vertiv dealer and their customer service is fantastic. Comparable shipping speed too and might give you less of a headache in case you need to return, or something goes wrong. Same price right now as others have mentioned.

Never heard of this brand, but seems like a solid price.

These show run time with full and half load, but it would be really useful to know about the run time with a very small load like 1/10th, 1/20th, 1/40th.

It would be great if this kept communication equipment like a cable modem and wifi access point up for an hour, or even two, but I suspect that the power conversion isn't efficient enough that you can just use simple multiplication.

Sure you can, with a screwdriver and a hot glue gun. Little bit on the speaker and it'll learn to keep quiet real quick

I got the APC 650va/300w one from Office Depot. Other than being smaller, would APC be the one to stick with? This is the same price as what the APC was on BF, which I missed and paid a little more for...

I just removed the speaker by desoldering it off the board. But it's not what an average user would do.

pure trash and not worth spending your money on. I am an MSP small business and residential and Vertiv products are not dependable. I purchased one of these for a client specifically to protect her from surges and it failed....she had to replace her motherboard a 2nd time.

I made numerous and persistent attempts at trying to recover the cost of her motherboard from Vertiv due to the fact that their trash product failed, they wanted to replace it with another trash unit.

DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THIS.,

For dependable and solid UPS units, go with UPC or CyberPower! I have a CyberPower unit in place of this trash Vertiv and it has been rock solid with logs showing when the battery kicked in or regulated surges.

Bottom line, Vertiv is trash. Don't waste your money or put your computer to risk
