I bought a set of 1\2 inch drive, deep 12pt impact sockets, ~5 years ago, and they have held up great! I use them often, with my Milwaukee 1400 ft.lb. impact, and haven't broken one yet. I bought the set for $20. Crazy good price.
Harbor freight quality has improved by leaps and bounds in recent years.

Their Pittsburg line is fine for a DIYer in my opinion. Granted, I think it depends on how close your HF is. I have a Lowes and HD closer, so it is easier to exchange broken tools than HF
