Works decent on bikes and Pilates balls. Not worth the attempt on cars either from holding down the button or from having to replace batteries midway

While it would "work" for cars in that it would pump air, an air pump like this would have very very low CFM at 30-40 psi, meaning you could use it to add 3-5 psi to a car tire because the temp dropped and you want your tire light to turn off, but you are not going to enjoy trying to inflate a car tire from 0-5 psi to 30 psi as it would likely take FOREVER. Truck tire? You'd have to use 5 batteries rotating on a charger and take breaks to let the inflator pump cool down so you don't melt the pump parts or wear out the little piston rings, unless this has a rotary design which would still have similar issues if it gets too hot.

This would be amazing to have as part of a roadside kit for a long motorcycle trip, or to keep in the car to inflate a bicycle tire when out for a ride at the park with the family, and charge it using your cell phone charger. There is quite the level of convenience being able to charge via USB-C and not have to use 2-3 different accessory plug power adapters and switch them out to charge different things while on the road.

I'd be interested to see how this compares to other air pumps of the same design.

The Milwaukee M12 air pump is absolutely phenomenal for car tires and would be a night and day improvement over this Ryobi, and is capable of inflating a single truck tire before needing a cool down period. Plus easy access to swapping in larger 4-6 aH batteries.

Yeah I feel like this is for footballs and whatnot. If you want car or bike tires, skip it and get the 18V inflator.

If it works for bike, it should work for cars too.

May try this, easy return. Tried an Amazon $30 that had decent review to keep in car for bikes, died in 2 weeks. Note need to use adapter for Presta bike tubes/tires.

Technically true but for few PSI. Work best on small or normal size tyres.

Understood. All in all, this is a great deal for newcomers needing an efficient small form factor near-all purpose- back up inflator for XYZ reason or just looking to top off the manufacturer-required PSI. The bulky air inflator while is vastly superior to this one is unnecessary if simply need to add few psi once in a while.
