Sam's has improved so much over the years and I like it better than Costco in a lot of ways. Costco doesn't invest in tech so their website and systems are antiquated and clunky. Here's what I like about both.

Costco
More organic items
More 'quirky/unique' items
Bigger rotisserie chickens
Eggs are cheaper than Sams

Sam's
-Scan and Go is amazing
-Curbside pickup is also amazing (I live two hours away and picked up a car full of groceries without having to spend a minute in the store) and free for Plus
-They do free shipping for Plus and don't jack up the item prices or charge surcharges like Costco
-Their customer service is better than Costco now
-Their website, app, etc are so much easier to use

Prices between the two are comparable. Sometimes Sam's is cheaper and sometimes Costco is cheaper. No real difference.

How long can you hold on to the code before activating?

Have one month left on current account. Want to hold onto this code in my Groupon folder until then. Could not find any expiration data in the FAQ at Groupon.

Super easy to buy and activate. Purchased while I was picking up items in the store right before Christmas, redeemed and fully activated in less than 10 minutes after the purchase while I was still shopping. The Scan & Go feature on the phone is clutch. Completely allows you to avoid the checkout lines. Great time saver and easy to use.

They have removed the $5 shopping credit from the "what's included" section. I bought this on Christmas for the same price when the $5 credit was still there and didn't get it. This reinforces my belief that warehouse clubs suck.

Nope, no picture for Sam's. In fact, Sam's encourages you to not even get a physical card anymore, "to save on plastic". They're trying to get you to use only the app (which stores your membership card info and barcode inside). However, you still do have the option to go to the in-store customer service and request a physical card.

Either that or download their app n login into it. I prefer to avoid unnecessary apps on my mobile, so got a physical card. No photo on it.
