I think the daily free games during the holidays are intended to get you to their site to purchase other games. I can imagine it's a costly undertaking to give away around 15 daily games in addition to the free weekly games they give away the rest of the year. I would expect a lot of so-so games during this time with maybe one or two decent games.

I don't pay attention every cycle because it's literally a bonus and not something I feel entitled to or anything like that, but the Outer Worlds provision not too long ago was a surprisingly good freebie.

Snakebird is one of my top 5 all time favorite games! But it appeals to only about 5% of people -- those with plenty of patience who like solving really difficult puzzles. It's on the level of Stephen's Sausage Roll, Baba is You, The Golem, Recursed.

Sometimes it's nice to expand your horizon. Give the ole noggin a shake up with the puzzles. I got to 60ish before getting stuck and figured it was a good time to get off and attempt it another day. Can't be expecting AAA titles every day.

man Sausage Roll broke my brain. imo it's a step above anything i've played due to its 3d nature. playing through Baba. it's good; just not as crazy as SSR i think. Recursed is next. Haven't heard of the Golem. thx for the rec.
