You could also just write "this is not for me" and we would all understand. My wife's grandmother drinks a lot of wine, these are easier than corkscrew. Lots of folk like the ease of these. I still prefer the classic opener but I have nothing against these.
I think this is the one I bought pre Christmas from bestbuy. Nowhere on the box does it say a word about vacuum sealing.
Got vacuum one and it's cheapest opener, after manual, but works perfectly every time! Effortless! The sound it great also.

As a previous owner of this, the battery just seems to fail on these making them useless, probably a roll of the dice but we used it maybe once or twice over the course of a few weeks/months. They do work quite well until then fwiw. Would recommend a good manual over this because it will probably quickly end up in a landfill.

At last! A cordless bottle opener!
Yeah, came here to post this. No more running extension cords from the living room to the patio for my 120V Waukesha or worrying about circuit breakers if I'm running an electric heater while corking a bottle.

It's more a function of moderation policy, tolerating posts that kill productive discussion and catering to low-effort complainers who hunt for ways to get their feelings hurt by posting garbage that they roundly deserve to get slapped down for. i've gotten warnings for an even more generalized comment than what you posted above claiming it was a "personal attack."

This is true. However, the above posted cordless wine opener was a winner at our family Christmas Yankee Swap this year. It does work for those who don't know how to use a standard wine opener.

Does the image resemble a robot giving the finger, or am I just perverted?

This item was received as a Yankee Swap gift for a family member who doesn't read instructions and didn't read the very explanatory instruction manual included in the bottom of the box. Just open the box, put on the wine bottle, right? He proceeded to put the opener on top of the wine bottle. It screwed into the cork, he pushed another button to, hopefully, extract, but didn't extract. Cork stayed in the bottle. There is an "eject" button. So said the manual with instructions. Voila! Cork comes right out! Instructions need to be read before executing and then, before, complaining that the item doesn't work. I thought this was a great gift for the wine enthusiast who doesn't have a sommelier at his elbow when entertaining!

Schools really need to start teaching people that not everyone on Earth is exactly like them. There are any number of reasons why someone might need or prefer to use an automated tool. This is like complaining someone driving a car needs to learn how to ride a bike, or how to walk.

These are soooo stupid. It is NOT hard to open a bottle of wine with a cork screw, regardless of type. If you are really that scared, just buy wines with twist offs, most likely better quality anyway depending on price point.
Found the Dbag.

It's easy. All you have to do is screw the corkscrew into the cork, then you can pop the cork out that you just screwed the corkscrew into.

I bought a Waring Pro maybe 5 years ago. They work, but really not any faster than a standard corkscrew.. Actually it's probably just a bit faster to use a manual corkscrew when it actually comes down to popping the cork out. This would probably be fine though for someone who has unsteady hands and just wants to use the electric to align with the cork.
