I think this is a super deal, if you like Srixon. I was a fan of the old school balata golf balls in the late 90s before the ProV1. Now I mainly play PV1. The best golfball I played was the original EV Extra Spin Precept and Maxfli Revolution. So much spin and control (as a long hitter that's what matters most), so I'm hoping these higher compression golf balls are comparable.

The XV (and Diamond) are a little too firm for my liking, but the regular Z Stars feel amazing and have a similar launch and spin profile to the PV1 (regular) for me. Any time I see a deal on the regular Z Stars, I try to order at least a couple dozen.

I'm currently playing the gen 8. Anyone know major changes between those and the previous generation or how much different they'll play?

This has been my go to ball for years now. My game has improved a ton over the years. I was initially playing Pro V1. Then switched to the V1x and loved that ball however I was given a sleeve of the XVs about 8yrs ago and haven't looked back. They were on sale in store this past weekend and grabbed two more. I'll play the Yellow XV in early or late afternoon rounds. The ball is a lot more straight into the wind for me and my shots. The cover holds up very well.

I would totally buy except I'm sitting on so many boxes. Can't wait for the new season to start.

And these are $1 cheaper than Kirklands.

Why don't they deliver to CA?
I get this message: We are not shipping any items to CA at this time.

Same. Maybe tax implications?

They also have Sugar Golf 3 piece golf balls marked down to $40 for 27 golf balls. https://www.academy.com/p/sugar-g...?sku=white At that price you are paying less than $20 a dozen for Urethane golf balls. Know nothing about this brand but many people say they perform similar to other brands like Snell and Vice.

If I remember right, it's because of California data privacy/protection laws.
