I also had it write a story about my son. I had to prompt it to give more detail in certain parts and I added some ideas, so in the end I had basically a children's book, but around all the things my son likes. Then I gave it a picture and started asking it to illustrate some of the scenes, in comic fantasy illustrations. Now my son has his own story and he can see himself doing these adventures.
Tons of fun to work on and I learned a lot.

I've used it to create appleScript to automate some functions for me in MacOS.
I've used it to create a python script to strip a bunch of code out of my old website, rewrite it, rename it, and output a 60+ files. Something if I did manually would have taken me an hour or so but it did it less than a second (plus the time to teach it and provide the script).
I've used it to create a batting lineup for an entire season for our softball team so that everyone batted in a certain position at least once. Then used it to create my fielding schedule.
It's done recipes, conversions, etc. It's fun.

Stay away. This is a blatant attempt to grab as many accounts early and plant them into Microsoft's ecosystem before Google and Apple can attempt the same. It's pretty clear that there's nothing "free" about this copilot since you are the product.
You can have it make simple websites for you, ask it to produce excel formulas that you don't know how to write, really anything.
This post isn't a "deal" per say, but useful anyway. Happy new years!
