I've had this for years and taken it all over the world after buying it for around this price. It's held up well after a lot of abuse, but it's only worth considering as a cheap carry-on: my own experience is that the "USB charging port" gimmick is a great way to get stopped when going through airport security and so basically completely useless. The cupholder likewise is completely useless.

Yes goes much higher, I have this and use it all the time as a carry on. Have tsa pre and they've never opened it and yes I have the battery pack in it. Just took on a 5 day trip and careful packing had clean clothes the whole time just this bag. For the price I love it and I paid a few bucks more. The cup holder is surprisingly useful for sipping a beer or coffee at the gate

Single roller will not roll on the carpets upright and gets caught in many creases in flooring. As a super cheap option it may be OK, but beware.

Despite the average, photo reviews seem to be mostly poor. Case cracks easily, wheels are cheap, and the case may split in two when the expanding seam fails...

I was thinking the same thing. Random wires and cylinders or batteries are no bueno.

Have it. It's average at best. Cup holder will break quickly but great for about 3 uses. Handle has issues after a year. But again, it works.
