Regarding Dr. Elsey's litter; I find it to be of poor quality and wouldn't recommend it. About 2 years ago it was great but something changed in the formula/clay and now it's a soggy mess with poor clumping.

The best overall consistent bargain I found for litter is Special Kitty Odor Control Tight Clumping Cat Litter 40lb [walmart.com]. It's only $13 shipped and it works great, tight clumps and no nasty soggy mess like with Elsey's.

Special Kitty is my main litter now due to its affordability and acceptable quality. I'm always on the lookout for deals on Fresh Step however as it's the best I've found; I assume there's better though in high end pet stores/boutiques...

It's a little more than the average price of chicken wings circa 2019; not exactly world-class eating and there you're paying for bone and not nutrition.

Since it's single use, pick the biggest size/weight before you buy.

Thanks worked for me. I use the PPP for small dogs and only get the small bags since I've been told it has a shorter shelf life than other dog foods so a big bag would go bad. May be BS but I fell for it

I use PPP and buy the 47 pound bags. No issues. Just store your food properly. Clean dry area and leave the food in the bag not in a bucket.

We've put our PPP in a sealed bucket for 9 years with no issues. How would a bag you can't seal be a better way of storing than a sealed bucket?
