Me too (but I have this Ridgid). I jokingly refer to my big ol' DeWalt DWS780 as a dust collector since I rarely use it in the shop and it never makes it into the truck. For the things that I actually need to miter the capacity of the 7-1/4" is sufficient, it has much less slop, and is so easy to move around.
I'm in the same boat. I have rental units and need to move the saw around a lot. I really like this compared to my 12" sliding dewalt. This is the saw I didn't think I needed but it's my favorite tool purchase in years.

what is the quality of this? I have the ryobi, which is made by the same manufacturer and it is a toy. It also is a 7 1/4 slider, but it cannot be adjusted so that the blade is parallel to the slide direction. It is off 2 degrees, which means it cannot be used for anything other than rough cuts. I have the 10" ryobi slider and it is a much better mitre saw.

From my experience, I prefer using a 10" slider for 90% of the time and a 12" fixed for the occasional precision crown moulding.
