I would say that you can get some cool shots with the camera, but you will need to spend quite some time to learn the editing software and nuances. Not only that, but depending on what you're using it for, like snowboarding, it can be difficult to get the right angles. I think the angles it gets are awesome, and 360 is really cool. It allows you to collect a ton of b roll footage quickly. But editing everything can become incredibly time consuming. If you're new to editing and action cams, just stick with GoPro. If you're an advanced editor, content maker, influencer, etc then this will definitely add those extra awesome angles that gopros don't. One more thing I'll mention is that the camera itself gets heavy when extended on the stick. I can do 2-3 snowboarding runs then I put it away.

The deal is good on this though. I paid a little more around BF sale time.
I wish Costco would sell more DJI products like their action cam and Osmo Pocket 3. They sell their drones...
Totally agreed. The concept is awesome, but the reality is it's kind of a pain in the ass. I dropped mine and got a tiny nick on one of the lenses. It bothered me so much that I seriously considered doling out the $180 or whatever it was to get it repaired. I researched how to repair it myself and even with as much fine electronics repair experience as I have, it's a daunting task. Like almost impossible for most human beings without the right materials. So I compromised and bought a diamond polishing compound to buff it out, which I successfully did, but not without causing two new annoyances: 1) There's no anti-glare coating on one lens now so the stitch seam is obvious, 2) it's an ultra wide angle lens and to remove even the slightest amount of material alters the focus/sharpness so it is now blurry in the edges of that side. 😞

It upset me so much I haven't really touched the thing in over a year.

The X3 and the Go 3 both dropped by $20 compared to ~Christmas time. Went ahead and requested a price adjustment through the web interface. Hopefully an easy $40 back on these 2 camera kits.

Thanks Op for the highlight

Yep. Pocket 3 is the one to get right now. Thou some video reviews are showing up on Youtube regarding the screen malfunctioning.

Costco has a price adjustment policy: purchases made within 30 days prior to a change in price and within applicable promotional item limits, are eligible for a price adjustment.

If they won't do it, just return and order a new one LOL

Anybody upgraded to X3 from One X? I only saw a couple of comparisons between the two on Youtube and video quality improvement is not much. Thou, it still makes me wanna get it because of the newly released invisible dive case only made for the X3.

This camera isn't quite a sports action camera because you have to be super careful about the inner and outer lenses. One wrong move and you'll leave permanent gashes or crack the glass completely. I bought the metal cage that goes around this camera but really, you don't want to knock this thing around or drop it. The lens replacements require a complete camera teardown, otherwise, you'll have to deal with epoxy.

They do sell protective plastic to cover the glass but your image will slightly get worse with them on (you'll notice this from lights or from direct sun). There's even a setting on the cam to compensate the stitching effect for the plastic lens covers. Despite the lowered image quality, the plastic insurance of a scratch-free glass is worth it in my opinion. The only time when one should ever use this camera with bare glass is indoors and very well clamped to a fixture.

It's a novel camera but I don't like having to baby this thing around all the time especially when my focus is on a fun vacation. Regular GoPros are excellent in that regard.

Also owner of 360-deg Xiaomi, Ricoh Theta, Samsung Gear 360.
